Role Overview
The Systems Administrator supports enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms across a complex IT environment. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day operations, administration, and troubleshooting of servers, cloud services, identity platforms, and Microsoft technologies. The position works on medium to high complexity systems and projects, providing operational stability while supporting modernization, security, and performance initiatives across infrastructure and application platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Server Administration
  • Provide daily operations support, maintenance, and administration for Windows and Linux server environments
  • Add and remove authorized users, manage access controls, and oversee password and security policies
  • Monitor systems and applications for availability, performance, and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, server, and application issues, escalating to vendors as needed
Cloud Platforms & Microsoft Technologies
  • Support and manage AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud services in a multi‑cloud environment
  • Oversee administration of Microsoft 365 and related Microsoft platforms
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain identity and access management solutions
  • Support Azure DevOps projects, repositories, pipelines, and organizational settings
Network & Systems Engineering
  • Assist with network configuration, performance monitoring, and security hardening
  • Analyze network performance including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency
  • Support firewall configurations, network policies, and secure connectivity
  • Assist with server configuration and administration across internal teams and external partners
Application & Platform Support
  • Support middleware, API management, automation tools, and batch job services
  • Assist developers and other IT staff in hosting and operating complex application solutions
  • Recommend improvements and refactoring opportunities to optimize performance, cost, and efficiency
Planning, Optimization & Governance
  • Recommend future server, platform, and software upgrades
  • Document environments, procedures, and administrative tasks
  • Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort
  • Maintain compliance with security, privacy, and governance standards
Collaboration & Delivery
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships in a matrixed organization
  • Coordinate efforts across infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams
  • Take ownership of complex issues through resolution to support business continuity
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 or more years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field
  • 3 or more years of experience supporting infrastructure or network environments
  • 2 or more years of experience administering Windows Server environments (2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022)
  • 2 or more years of experience with IIS administration
  • 2 or more years of experience with network communications including TCP/IP, DNS, and file sharing technologies
  • 2 or more years of strong professional experience supporting AWS cloud services
  • Experience administering Linux environments including Red Hat or Ubuntu
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑diagnosis skills across multiple technology platforms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience administering Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Experience working with additional cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience administering Microsoft enterprise software platforms
  • Experience supporting middleware, API management platforms, or IT service automation tools
  • Experience with Azure DevOps source control and CI/CD pipelines
